Knee Pain may be Temporary or Chronic knee pain. Chronic
knee pain requires treatment while temporary knee pain goes away without
treatment.
Chronic knee pain may be due to following conditions.
Osteoarthritis:
Osteoarthritis is a type of arthritis that occurs when
flexible tissue i.e. cartilage at the ends of bones wears down.
Gout:
Gout is caused by increase in uric acid amount in blood
which forms uric acid crystals in the joints.
Rheumatoid Arthritis:
It is an autoimmune disorder i.e. it is caused by the auto
antibodies of immune system attacking healthy body tissue.
Tendonitis:
It is the inflammation of tendon i.e. a tissue that
connecting muscle to bone.
Dislocation:
Knee cap dislocation also causes knee pain.
Bone Tumors or Osteosarcoma
It is a type of bone cancer.
Temporary knee pain may be caused by lack of use of knee,
heavy physical activity, sitting on knees for a long time, injuries like
sprains or strains etc.
